Join us for our Open Day on Saturday August 13th

it will also be a good test for both 1st XV and 2nd XV as we prepare for the leagues ahead of us

All are welcome to Academy Park on the 13th of August for Leith Rugby Club’s annual Open Day from 1pm. There will be several different activities on the day for all of the family to get involved with including the 1st xv and 2nd xv in action.

For the kids there will be giant sumo suits and a rugby assault course for them to get their teeth into and enjoy. Whilst for the adults there will be an pitchside bar and BBQ for you to enjoy (though there is nothing to stop you taking part in the assault course or sumo suits!!!)

On the pitch we have a couple of excellent games for you to watch and get an understanding of what Leith Rugby is all about. The 2nd Xv will be facing off against Queensferry RFC as they prepare for their debut season in the East 3 development league, whilst the 1st Xv will be taking on West League 2’s Paisley Rugby Club. Club Captain Kenny Dannfald looks forward to welcoming his former team to Academy Park for the fixture;

“I have a lot of fond memories of playing at Paisley, from aged 7 it is where I fell in love with the sport and was always proud to represent my home town team as I made my way through the juniors and into the seniors. I still know a lot of the guys that play for the team so it will be good to catch up with them afterwards. I think it will also be a good test for both 1st XV and 2nd XV as we prepare for the leagues ahead of us”

Of course everyone will be welcomed into the Bar afterwards where you can join in in the fun and games, chat to the Leith Players and officials and soak in the atmosphere of your local rugby club!

So make sure you block out the 13th August in your diary for a fun filled family afternoon which is completely free of charge at Leith Rugby Club!
