Saturday will (hopefully!) see a return to competitive action for Leith with the visit of Trinity Academicals. Aside from the New Year weekend friendly with Grangemouth, Leith's last outing was a 39-0 win over Earlston. Today's opponents, who lie in 5th position in East Division 2, are coming off a good 39-17 win in a Ferry Road battle with Edinburgh Northern, and may be the fresher for it. The home side will be looking to blow off the cobwebs early in an attempt to do the double over their visitors, following the 43-18 win at Bangholm in October, and to maintain the good run which sees them in 3rd position.

We hope as many Leithers as possible will make their way down to give the guys their backing as they begin a big few weeks with this derby, followed by visits to Edinburgh Northern and Forrester, then the rearranged games with Inverleith (Home - 14th Feb) and at Penicuik (21st Feb). All eyes on Academy Park today first though on Saturday, 2pm KO.
