Enjoyment all round as the quiz night is enjoyed!

15 teams pack themselves in to the Academy Park clubhouse as the club hosted it’s annual quiz night. ‘Fifteen to 1’ and injured Leith prop Conor Kerr took the lead in writing the questions (the hard ones) whilst fellow injured prop Craig Winton helped out (the easy questions) and was the mc for the night.

We worked our way through General Knowledge, Music, sport and geography amongst others as the lead went to and fro between a number of teams keen to show their knowledge, whilst some debate raged on at some of the questions from our quiz masters (is Italy one big peninsula?, Can you check out on 3 using 3 darts?)

Eventually their had to be one winner and this year it was ‘Three Scots and an Irish man walk into a bar’ the team lead by Leith marketing guru Scott McNeil and ex Leith Hooker David ‘Dange’ Montgomery. They beat ‘Pablo Quizcobar’ into 2nd place while Kathrine Allison and Anita Cook’s ‘LEITHal injection came in third’. There wasn’t so much luck for their partners as ‘The Front Row Union’ made up of Cook, Allison, Archer and Aitchison came in a resounding last place, rumours that lack of crayons hampered their attempt in writing any answers down are unfounded.

Overall a very good night had by all with funds being raised for both the senior club and the Youth Development section of the club. £70 donated from the entrance fee to the Leith Hawks whilst the quiz winners donated £25 of their winnings to the Hawks and the remainder back to the club (after a couple of drinks at the bar!!)
