This weekend we welcome Liberton FP to Academy Park for the final league game of the season. Liberton have done fantastically well over the past few years, rebounding from some tough times to secure promotion from East 3 behind St Boswells last year and go into this weekend's game with their East 2 fate still in their own hands. Should promotion/relegation take place this year (and you never do know...) our visitors require a win at Leith to be assured of remaining in the league. Should Leith take the win, Liberton will still be safe should Trinity defeat Earlston. With Leith needing a win, and looking for a favour from Forrester who go to Penicuik, in order to finish best of the rest in 3rd place, a big effort from both sides is assured, and we should be in for a cracking game, with so much at stake.

Before the 1sts get going, our 2nd XV take on the Edinburgh University Medics, who with the withdrawal from East 3 of Moray House, have been filling in some fixtures for sides in that division this season, and putting together some impressive results. A valuable addition to the league pyramid, should they elect to join next season, they will represent a stern test for our 2s, who will also be looking to close out the season with a win.

Whatever the two results, all the teams at Academy Park will be closing a good season and we look forward to a few beers post-game. As ever your support for the Leithers is much appreciated, and we hope to see a big crowd along to watch both games. Bar open from 12pm.
