Match Preview

We welcome South Edinburgh outfit Lismore RFC to Academy Park on Saturday 22nd August for 2nd and 1st XV fixtures, in what will be the final warm-up games for both Leith sides ahead of their respective kick offs on September 5th, when the 2nd XV welcome Haddington RFC 3rds, and the 1st XV entertain Liberton RFC.

Saturday's double header will give the coaching staff a final chance to try out combinations ahead of the kick off in a fortnight, and for players to impress in a competitive capacity, so two good games should be assured. Leith and Lismore have become well acquainted over the past two seasons, with four league fixtures and a cup tie between September 2013 and November 2014. Due to Saturday's opponents relegation at the end of last season, this will likely be the club's only opportunity to meet this term. Both clubs will be targeting the top of their respective tables this season, and will be looking to end pre-season with confidence.
