Leith lose out in tight encounter

Inverleith came out deserved winners by the odd point. Close game, but I don't have the scorers.

We seemed to lose the game after 2 scores by IL early on after a lacklustre start and didn't seem to get going until the second half.

Leiths insistence on bringing the ball back inside instead of putting it wide cost them in this encounter, on the few ocassions it went wide we had IL stretched.

I need the rules explained to me in terms of subs though, the IL hooker had an injury but was able to scrum, went off when IL were in our 22 which resulted in uncontested scrumming from which they scored, and came back on for contested scrumming at the restart. Bizarre!

That said apart from a brief flurry in the 2nd half, Inverleith were on top for most of this encounter and we can have no gripes about coming second. Here's hoping for better against RDVC next Saturday.
