A victory against Boswells which should have had a much larger margin. Given that the game was played like a training game with no tempo whatsoever I suppose we'll take the points without too much grumbling.
The opposition only turned up with 14 men and were moaning about us pushing in the scrum! So it was only a matter of time before uncontested scrums made their appearence. You can only play what's in front of you, but I can't help but think other teams would have put 70 on the opposition in this game
1 major comedy moment in the game, 1 in the clubhouse afterwards:
Their scrum half in tears with a broken ankle, carried off amidst much sympathy only to reappear 10 minutes later. That's what I call recuperation power.
Moment of controversy afterwards was comedy moment 2 - see club news.
I wouldn't expect to see too many of their forwards in the return fixture.
Incidentally Tams team talk prior to the game. "we've a lot of pace in the front row today - Aitchy and Winton can really get round the park!"
Any clues to the identity of the slow fat barsteward who can't get round the park? Answers on a post card to coach Tam.
