This week we caught up with Leither Down South, Davide Fattore. The (near) Neapolitan winger played for Leith throughout 2015 and 2016, and was delighted to send us his memories. Davide said: "I have a lot of memories of that period. The Leith team is special and always it will be for me even if I didn't play a lot. Probably it is the best time for me in Edinburgh. For sure is one the main reasonS why I stayed for so long. Sorry if I didn't mention other guys but I would like to thanks everyone."
Un grande abbraccio from us all Davide!

Playing Years: 2015 - 2016

Where are you these days? I moved to Preston close to Manchester. I’m currently an IT help desk and Cisco worker. I started to play table tennis but it didn’t last - too different from rugby! I have a girlfriend from this town and we live together
Have you played any rugby since Leith? I played a few months at the Grasshopper Preston club, but unfortunately a few injuries stopped me playing
Favourite Moment in a Leith jersey? Training with the coach at the time, Blair Skipper - and all the away games!
Funniest moment down the club? Watching the 6 Nations game Scotland Italy with the team at Murrayfield. Just to remind you...19-22! Another moment is definitely the Christmas Party of the same year. One of the best memories ever. Drinking games, lot of jokes and just a memorable night out
What do you miss about Leith Rugby? The team was great. Everyone tried to help me with tactics and tried so hard to improve my skills. The community made me feel part of a family since the beginning
Best player played with? Kenny Dannfald, Doug Watters and Ross Kilgour
Toughest training ground opponent? Paul Haggon. Sometimes he forgot that we were training!
How do you keep in touch with the club? Since I moved I follow Leith on Facebook and I’m very happy that you’re doing so well
Have you any message for the current playing squad? I want to say thanks to everyone for the experience that I had at Leith. Also to say to the current players that they are very lucky to stay in this amazing club. Good luck for the season!
